A senior session with Ali
It was such a joy shooting senior photos for Ali. She had a great attitude during the session. Her happiness was contagious!
After a day of rain, the weather decided to finally play nice and gave us the most perfect light. Proving that bright sunny days aren’t always the best. She naturally had such a bright sparkle in her eyes and gorgeous blonde hair that photographed beautifully with the blue geometric print backdrop which we have been using a lot lately. Ali got her hair and makeup done at Alchemy and it was, as always, picture perfect.
Throughout the shoot, we moved around the Smitten and Swoon Studio to capture some amazing shots in the flower garden and fields. Ali brought her family, cat and dog included. Even though the cat was a little skittish at first, she was able to keep it calm enough for a few quick shots. Her pets made great additions to the portraits. She also brought some amazing pieces that belonged to her mother, including this amazing feathered hair piece. Her mom had so many eclectic options that she had purchased years ago. It was hard to pick just one! The tan leather vest that Ali wore for some photos had also once belonged to her mother. I love that she thought to tie in these pieces that were passed down to her. It gives even more meaning to the photographs. Ali took the time to plan out her wardrobe for her senior session. She brought great options that worked well. Including a pair of boots that had such great detail to them. Her photos show that a little planning goes a long way. If you are planning a senior session, I encourage you to think about what items you can bring to the shoot to make it even more special for you and your family.
