These newborn baby girl photos are some of my all time favorites. This sweet family came to the studio for their daughter’s newborn photos and to begin their First Year Baby Plan. Peyton was five weeks old, so a little outside of my typical 5-14 day window that is ideal when posing and photographing newborns. The mom and I had talked quite extensively before this photo session and I knew she wanted to incorporate flowers. For all baby girls born in the colder months I like to bring flowers inside my studio and decorate our props with flowers. (I get them for you so you don’t have to worry about anything on the day of your photo session.) For babies born in the warmer months, I always try to go out to my garden for a pose with greenery, sunlight streaming in and of course the blooming flowers. Since this was the priority shot of the day, and since I wasn’t sure how much this five week cutie would sleep, we decided to do the flower shot first. We layed sweet Peyton down on a white blanket and surrounded her with the prettiest pink tulips and greenery. I love how simple this photo is, while Peyton still looks cozy and snuggled in. To me there’s no prettier combination of two things in the world than a brand new baby and fresh flowers. This beautiful mama brought some stunning flower crowns from her local flower shop in Denver for our session too. I think the photo of mom holding baby girl wearing flower crowns is so beautiful. My favorite photos with newborns are the ones that are all about connection and love. These mom and baby photos show so much love and connection. I am so looking so forward to photographing Peyton again in May for another flowery photo session.
