I was so happy to meet this absolutely beautiful family at their maternity photo session. There are some families that just NEED to have more babies, and this is one of them. Their little boy will be arriving this summer and I couldn’t be happier to be their maternity and newborn photographer. It has been raining in Colorado for the past several weeks, so to have a sunset session without any rain is a blessing. Not only did we not have any rain or wind, the sun and clouds were a perfect mix that made the sun flare in the photos this prefect shade of pastel pink. I love when the sky lends a helping hand to make a photo shoot amazing. It also make such a difference when a family plans ahead for their photo session. This mama did an amazing job choosing a dress that really elevated the whole photo session. It’s long and dreamy and the perfect color. Anytime flower crowns are involved, I’m happy. I think nothing photographs more beautifully than a flower crown, and this mama and her two girls looked like goddesses. First we started in the garden with some soft backlight. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to get the girls to laugh and smile. This was probably the easiest photo I have taken with young children. After a few family photos in the garden, we went out to the pasture for the mountain views and sun flare. This is what they mean when they say glowing. This mama is just glowing in all her motherly beauty. That big smile. The flowers in her hair. The beautiful sun flare and mountains in the background. I’m so happy we captured this moment in their life before they welcome their little boy into the family this summer.
