Holiday Family Photo Sessions

We have had so many holiday family photo sessions these past couple months that we’ve hardly had any time to blog.  I’ve decided to make my mini sessions part of my regular catalog because they’ve been so popular.  This beautiful family is new to Boulder and came for a quick mini session last weekend.  The price of a mini session includes a session fee, custom designed holiday cards on pearl paper, and four of your favorite digital files.  I spent a little more time with this family because this baby was oh so yummy – look at her dimples! – and we captured images with lots of variety.  It never ceases to amaze me how many poses and picture combinations we can get in just a 20 minute photo session.  In this photo session we got lots of great pictures of the whole group, some amazing portraits of this sweet little girl, some images with just mom and baby, and some of just dad and baby.  Even in winter, pictures can be beautiful.  The fields of wheat are gold, the sky turns the palest pink at sunset.  Smiling faces pop against this subdued setting.  Sometimes I think winter portraits are more beutiful because the image is all about the face, the expressions of love and the relationships.  Whether it’s an urban photo session or out in the fields surrounding my studio, family photo sessions can be stunning in the winter too.
