Boulder’s family photographer with a focus on love and light.

As a mother of two, I know there is nothing more valuable than the love we preserve through photographs. The photos I’ve taken and the albums I’ve created for my own family are treasured heirlooms—growing more meaningful every year.

My goal is for you to cherish the photographs I take of your family as deeply as I cherish the ones I’ve taken of mine. My mission is to capture the beauty, connection, and love within your family—and to help you decorate your home with meaningful artwork that transports you back to this chapter of your life. I did a lot of research and knew I’d found someone special when I saw D’Ann’s work. She has an eye for creating beautiful images. The photos of the three of us glow. She captured the love and wonder of adding a little person to our life. D’Ann is great with kids and knows how to make the photo shoot seamless and easy. We had family photos taken and D’Ann was very understanding and calm when our 5 month old had a complete meltdown that would.not.stop. We had to reschedule—fortunately she was able to get us in a couple weeks later and baby cooperated the second time around. D'Ann made us feel completely at ease (that’s saying a lot, since I hate getting my photo taken). Our pictures turned out absolutely amazing! Better than I could have dreamed!

Session Details

I tend to book out 9-12 months in advance, so be sure to reach out to me with plenty of notice, especially if you’re hoping for a sunset session. There’s always the slim chance I can fit in a photo session last minute, but not guaranteed, so it’s always better to book sooner than later.

ONE-HOUR SESSION

1 hour photo session at the location of your choice (I will help you choose the most beautiful location for the time of year).
For those who want a gallery of more than 20 final images.
At a one-hour photo session, we’ll have plenty of time to capture a variety of moments, from posed to candid and creative. I’ve found that an hour is the sweet spot where I have enough time to get to know my subjects and capture all the love and joy and light, while keeping little ones engaged. It’s enough time to get several different shots, from the whole group, to individuals and any other combinations you want. In a one hour session there is plenty of time for a couple outfit changes, and we can even drive to a couple different locations if they’re close to each other.
An appointment at the studio two weeks after the photo session where you can view your gallery of images and place your order.
$350 – Session fee (paid when booking the session).
$1500 – Minimum order requirement (paid towards your purchase at the purchasing appointment where you get to view your gallery or images and place your print and/or digital order). This is so that I may limit the number of sessions I book to ensure the highest quality of product and service.

TWO-HOUR SESSION

2-hour photo session at the location of your choice (I will help you choose the most beautiful location for the time of year).
For those who want a gallery of more than 40 images.
This photo session is perfect for those wanting a custom designed photo album, lots of variety to their gallery of images, fine art for their walls and 2-3 dramatically different locations with several outfit changes. We can start on a hiking trail to get some big mountain views in the background, then travel 15 minutes to the country roads or golden fields. You can bring several changes of clothes and we can pick a different spot for each outfit. Two hours gives us a lot of time to play with light, to move slowly and not feel rushed, and to get a gallery of images that is varied. At two-hour sessions I have plenty of time to get some classic portraits as well as some really creative fine art shots.
Halfway through a two-hour session is when personalities begin to shine. This is the session for those wanting an incredible gallery for a custom album or wall art.

$500 – Session fee (paid when booking the session).
$2500 – Minimum order requirement (paid towards your purchase at the purchasing appointment where you get to view your gallery of images and place your print and/or digital order). This is so that I may limit the number of sessions I book to ensure the highest quality of product and service.

During a typical photo session, I create 20–25 hand-edited portraits. Some will be candid and relaxed, while others are more posed—with everyone looking at the camera and smiling. I also love to include a few creative images that highlight the beauty of your location and the unique light of the day.

About two weeks after your session, we’ll schedule a time for you to come to the studio for your purchasing appointment. This is when you’ll view your full gallery and select the artwork you’d like to order.

The most important part of a photo session is what you do with the images once you have them. Whether it’s framed prints, holiday cards, fine art albums, or statement pieces like canvas and metal wall art, I’ve sourced the highest quality products.

With an in-house designer and a curated collection of display options available to see at your appointment, my goal is for you to leave with not only beautiful memories—but meaningful, lasting artwork you love.
