Meet little Gavin | 11 days

He may be the sleepiest boy I’ve ever photographed.  He was happy being posed in each and every setup we had prepared.  I really love bringing newborn babies outside into the garden this time of year.  We have a new log stump that Gavin happily slept on.  Look at all the light shining behind him!  It looks like a fairytale.   The greens of the garden in that image with the little shorts that I knit for him look so beautiful.

In a newborn session we typically get six different set ups and poses.  From simple and very natural, to poses with a lot of detail and more advanced posing.  I have so much fun dreaming up the setups.  I have been so excited to sew and knit the little hats, bonnets and pant sets. I have been purchasing patterns from Monkey Moo Moo and really love them.  We have several girls coming into the studio this week – I can’t wait to share the new pinks, tans and purples I’ve been creating.
