I am a proud new aunt to this bundle of baby girl perfection.  I couldn’t wait to meet little Rory and help welcome her to the world with newborn photography.  We had the most gorgeous newborn session complete with family photos, individual newborn photos in all colors, and, my favorite, mom and baby photos at the end.  Rory came to the studio and within minutes was sound asleep in my rocking arms.  I swaddled her in pink and surrounded her in a beautiful nest of flowers.  Lately, every baby girl that comes to the studio gets to sleep in a nest of flowers.  As the weather gets warmer, I’ll start bringing babies out into my garden again.  But for now, I’m loving the fresh flowers.  Is there anything more beautiful than a sleeping baby and fresh flowers in beautiful light?  I have several newborn baby boys coming to the studio soon, and I’m trying to think creatively about what I can use for them.  I think every baby would be beautiful surrounded by flowers or greenery.  Rory even smiled as she slept among the flowers! Next, I tucked Rory against a soft blue blanket and wrapped her in a little homemade blanket.  I love baby girls in blue.  Making props for my newborn photo sessions is one of my favorite things.  Every photo session with me is a custom session.  I make most of the hair pretties, wraps, bonnets and little pant sets.   Next, Rory slept on a soft pink blanket.  I love this pose because you can see her face so perfectly well.  Finally, we posed little Rory with her mom for some images that show the love and emotion of this new lifelong relationship.  I am so happy that Rory will always have these photos to look back on.  They change so quickly in their first year, and these first photos become treasures with time.  Enjoy a peek at Rory’s newborn session!
